So pre-war the alliances of the Big 5 looked something like this; Xois and Alknessus never liked each other. Thandyss had long standing alliance agreements with Alknessus, and they were joined by Mwani. The UNM sided with Xois at the time, but they shifted around a few times over the course of the whole conflict.Ā
In the last decade and half-ish, Mwani withdrew because of civil war, followed by Thandyss withdrawing in the final few years. Mwani formally ended its old alliances with its new regime, though they still donāt really like Xois, but are sort ofĀ ārenegotiatingā with Alknessus. Thandyss and Alknessus are still technically under their old pact, but with Thandyss super unstable at the moment, Alknessus is more or less looking to gain political control over them.Ā Shifting factions have the UNM sorta speaking more with Alknessus, but theyāre mostly neutral on everything.Ā
Both Mwani and Thandyss lost a lot of territory during the war and subsequent politcal upheavals, so they also have the Mwani Noble States and the Bandit Confederacy, respectively, to deal with as well.
So end of the day, not a whole lot changed, except for Mwani and Thandyss nearly falling apart completely.Ā
