I miss everything about Chicago. Except January and February. ~ Gary Cole

Some visible mending I did last summer:
This wool blanket from my grandmother had some moth damage as well as end stitching (is that the correct term in english?) that needed to be reinforced. I saved the old end stitches that were still holding up bc I love the effect of the new white thread between the old red yarn! <3 The heart covers the biggest hole & actually looks great on both sides. ^^
Grandma got it when she was young & have fixed it before, as well as embroidered her own initials on it. So this blanket is at least 80 years old, but the colour is as vibrant as ever & I realise now I probably should have taken a picture of it in it's entirety. ^^'
