Episode 55: Miara and Woollinn

I was beset by technical gremlins today, but have finally managed to upload the podcast!

I chat about my new design Miara Sweater and the Woollinn Festival of Yarn, as well as demonstrate removing the neck from a top-down sweater.

I went to #woollinndublin and all I got was - these lovely things!! Swipe through to see close-ups; I'll try and tag the photos too. There were so many lovely things available, it really is a treat just to visit, but I'm very happy to have these souvenirs (of every type!) First up 3 skeins from @ukalpaca in a lovely monochrome marl (must keep that name for a future design! 😁) then an incredibly soft alpaca pompom from @toft_uk . A skein of logwood-dyed merino from @sionnachyarns , a set of mini-skeins from @irish_artisan_yarn , 2 balls of CaMaRose wool from @crossandwoods (very hard to choose from the amazing range of colours) and a mini skein from @gamercrafting . I got some new tools from @catandsparrowuk (I think I got the gauge ruler at @dyecandy but I'm not 100% sure). I picked up my lovely #woollinn badge from @ancaitinbeag , and @bearinsheepsclothing gave me the cute polar bear badge. I took Bristol Ivy's class on Knitting Outside the Box, so she signed my copy 😀 (which I had bought from @thisisknit . My @woollinndublin stash - swipe to see the following in close-up 😀 1. Who could resist a yarn that's 45% dog hair? Um..quite a few people, based on the mixed reactions when I showed this to people! 😃 I got this partly because of past conversations with my kids, and partly because I am curious to work with it. For the record, it's husky! From @namolio 2. Also from Namolio are these woollen yarns - because who doesn't love a rainbow in wool! 3. Super soft Terra skeins from @thefibrecompany 4. Repost from @natalie_herlinghaus , who took this photo of our workshop with Karie Westermann at @woollinndublin yesterday. Such a great workshop, as Natalie said in her post; with so much food for thought we will need some time to digest it all! . We were an international bunch: from Ireland, Iceland, Portugal, Poland, Germany, and USA, with @kariebookish our tutor, coming from Denmark via Scotland. . In case you're wondering which one I am, I'm in the green shirt, wondering what on earth I should do with my hands!
