Back at it on the trails now the snow is melting off - and boy yesterday was a doozy. Dirty Beasts is a black climber out in Function Junction and man are my legs feeling it today, but what a fun challenge! I didn't really want to hike back up anything, but @impey55882 takes a nice photo when he sees an opportunity to make me look cool, so of course I lugged the bike back up this rock (twice). So today, I ticked off a HUGE mountain bike goal - I did the right of passage for any self respecting biker in Whistler, #lordofthesquirrels up Sproatt mountain. It was super long (approx 40km), super hot (over 30°C) and took pretty much everything that @mr_aeejaydigby and myself had to keep going. Me on my poor bruised ribcage and he on a new bike, we made it. We swam in the lakes, skinny dipped in one and had a total blast. I still can't believe we made it back in one piece (only had one flat tire on the way down to fix!). We even met one of the guys who built the trail! It's a little blurry, but a cool still frame from a great ride with friends today. I feel quite shaky when doing features at the best of times, and doing a rock garden into a river was pretty scary on a new trail! But I'm so proud of myself for getting on it and smashing it, along with some other fairly spicy trails today (including my first non-bike park black tech trail).
