My poetic heart never stops pouring words. It has been this way since I was little. It’s a beautiful journey, unique to me. And as long as there is life in my soul, my pen will never stop writing poetry.

I wish dictionary definitions of words, and etymology in general, literal meanings behind prefixes and suffixes etc., didn’t become so ignored. Words are utilitarian. Their definitions are extremely important in what we can communicate and what is factual. I just had the longest debate (one I’ve had many times before) over the definitions of religion and what constitutes a member or practice of the religion. My argument relies on definitions and the very history behind the meanings of either part of or the whole word, but more importantly, the definitions. It seems I often have this problem when I get into disagreements about a variety of things. Frustrating.
