How is it that I don't need a license to operate a smart phone? The Internet and its Pandora's box of: videos, books, all of humanity's history, billions of strangers to talk to, endless money sucking sites...etc. It seems too powerful for my small hands to control.

What if Queens was a fantasy table top game? You have a stack of different matte prints of different puzzles showing a color coded map of the different kingdoms and their territories. You have to place a tiny castle piece where you think it goes and check the back of the puzzle for the answers.

i love that every pokémon is someone’s favourite pokémon. it doesn’t matter how much you dislike a pokémon or how forgettable you you think a design is, out there is someone who thinks it’s their baby. my coworker who only discovered pokémon through pokémon go absolutely loves tangela and has a small army of fully powered up ones. at an expo once i saw a woman at a booth desperately trying to find an onix plushie because it was her daughter’s absolute favourite. i talked with someone recently who announced sudowoodo as their tippy top favourite. every single one is loved by someone and idk, i think that’s gotdang heartwarming

It would be nice if Disney had a pediatric medical equipment brand. I would LOVE a cute pulse oximeter designed to look like a character, maybe Baymax hugging your finger? Maybe kids would like an otoscope that looks like the Pizza Planet rocket? It would have it's own website where organizations can order in bulk or if a parent wants to get something like an insulin pump for their kid.

Maybe expand this idea further! Build Children's hospitals that are wonderous and magical like their parks.

Different wings could be themed worlds:

a forest kingdom

a space station

an underwater reef

a castle courtyard

The point wouldn’t be escapism alone — it would be psychological comfort.

For example:

IV poles disguised as lantern posts or robot assistants

MRI machines designed as rocket ships

Hallways with interactive lights that respond as kids walk by

Waiting rooms that feel like libraries, gardens, or play spaces

This kind of thinking is actually very similar to how Disney Imagineering designs parks — every object contributes to a story.

Sexy Beasts is a British reality television dating game show that originally and aired on BBC Three from 14 February to 9 September 2014 with Susan Calman as Narrator. Netflix revived the show from 21 July to 7 October 2021 with Rob Delaney as Narrator

The show's format involves one eligible single (male or female) and three possible suitors, all four of which have been made over with prosthetic makeup. Each "beast" will then go on a date with the singleton. Over the course of the show, two will be eliminated, at which point their make up is removed and their real identity is revealed for the first time. The remaining person is then chosen as the winner to go on a second date.

There's a Disney Princess brand but why not Disney Prince? Boys deserve to dress fancy in Disney branded costumes and have movies dedicated to empowering them and giving them role models so they can grow up to be their best selves. (Criminals are often grown men afterall). Wasn't the whole idea behind the feminist movement is for EQUALITY? Boys deserve to play with dolls too because it's role playing and helps children regardless of gender to process emotions and safely explore themselves. Or better yet, make the Disney Princess brand the Disney Royals brand to include Prince and Princess characters together because they should be, they should all be friends and be shown together on packaging and clothes because empowerment shouldn't have a gender.

My glitch in the matrix story

So when I was 4 in 2002, my parents, my baby sister and I moved out of our condo to an over 100 year old house that used to be the local St. Peter's Church which now has a proper stained glass building elsewhere in the neighborhood.

I don't have any memory of the glitch myself but it's something that haunted my dad for years. One day it was just him and I at home and mom was out, I think getting groceries. Then we both hear her call out, "I'm home!" So Dad goes to greet her at the door but she's not there and her car isn't in the driveway. To make sure he's not going crazy he asks me, "Did you hear Mommy?"

"Yes."

"What did Mommy say?"

"I'm home."

So he purposely left it an open ended question. And we BOTH heard her voice loud and clear. Later when Mom actually came home, Dad told her what happened and she was just confused because she had definitely been at the store the whole time.

Many years later, I was in my early 20's and he confided in me that when we first moved into our house he felt like there was a presence around but eventually it went away.

My dad grew up a pastor's kid but he's also very logical and scientific. He sometimes wonders if what we heard was Mom in the future in Heaven exclaiming that she's finally home with Jesus and we just heard it echoing into present day. It's a reasoning that comes from love and an understanding that to God perception of time is very different to Him and isn't linear.

So, it's just a weird little moment with no logical explanation! 😆

The concept of fairying someone is so cute! Like how the Tooth Fairy leaves gifts under your pillow or some in children's stories leave gifts in your shoes, to be a "fairy" is just to give with a generous heart.🥰

Book fairies are a great example of this. They're people who give free books to others. But you can fairy in so many other ways too like giving out food, toys, inspirational messages, art...etc. It's just spreading positivity like fairy dust!✨

I was never into romance growing up and for most of my early 20's identified as aromatic and asexual (I now consider myself straight). Then I discovered that the romance genre has SO many different flavors! And that there's so many different character archetypes for attraction.

Some of my favorite romance sub genres:

Dark romance (burn the world for you, yandere, villain gets the girl and redemptive stories)

Romance fantasy

Monster romance

Sentient object romance (objectum)

Favorite archetypes (the "deres"):

Yandere - possessive and psycho

Kuudere - cold shouldered

Kitikudere - harmful

Tsundere - rough exterior

Love is so innocent and pure so being contrasted with more edgy or imaginative themes makes it more appealing. But I like a good wholesome deredere (lovey dovey) story too! 🥰

I think because Beauty and the Beast was my FAVORITE movie as a kid that I watched over and over again my subconscious just seeks out similar themes now and vanilla romance isn't good enough it needs a little enslavement and magic. I could blame the 'tism too!😆

I'm pretty sure smart kids turn into anxious adults. Because we have way too much information and thoughts to handle. I pushed myself SO hard growing up to do well in school but now it feels like knowledge hasn't become a power as we're told but a burden to carry. Sometimes I think I'd be happier if I were more ignorant. Yet this brain of mine CRAVES understanding and truth even if it costs me my mental health.
