Sorry for the late posting, but here's the word net from last week's story "The Exquisite Corpse."
Remember, we want to add 1-3 new words to our word nets each week and then practice using them in a sentence. This will help expand our vocabularies.
Villain: NOUN. a character whose evil actions or motives are important to the plot
Scowled: VERB. frown in an angry or bad-tempered way
Contorted: ADJ. twisted or bent out of its normal shape
Unimpressed: ADJ. feeling no admiration, interest, or respect.
Wheezed: VERB. (of a person) breathe with a whistling or rattling sound in the chest, as a result of an obstruction in the air passages
Foolish: ADJ. lacking good sense or judgment; unwise
Tremble: VERB. shake involuntarily, typically as a result of anxiety, or excitement
Loyal: ADJ. giving or showing support to a person
Jaunty: ADJ. having or expressing a lively, cheerful, and self-confident manner
Horde: NOUN. a large group of people
