To be seven again. To read comics on the bed as the window is open and crickets are chirping loudly. The cool breeze on a day of spring fills your room with the smell of dewdrops at dawn. Your father tucks you back in bed as he fakes believing you have a headache with a smile. To be seven again and to cry at a math problem. To see the world through a rose coloured lens. To not sleep the night before a school trip cuz you can't wait to go. To search for everything in books and your grandparents' stories. To not know the meaning of aestheticism. To stop and smell every flower that comes by and take one for your mom. To not know the meaning of loss.
Oh what I can give to be 7 and feel whole again.
