Don’t level healer if you’re not going to heal.
Don’t level tank if you’re not going to tank.
Even if you’re under leveled for the content compared to the co-tank or co-healer, it’s in your job description as a healer or a tank to at least try.
If you’re leveling either to simply skip the queue and not to actually play the class as it was meant to be played, stick to your DPS main. Watch some fuckin’ anime while you wait in queue. Play another game. Or better yet, do another activity in FFXIV while waiting. 9 times out of 10 as soon as I start crafting while queuing as SMN, my queue immediately pops when I start my rotation especially if it’s on an item that I need to HQ and requires rare/expensive materials. Because life just be like that.
But point is, don’t play something you’re not going to play. Even if you’re some title hunting completionist. In your case, go level your useless off classes in PoTD where the rules don’t matter. That’s what I did with Black Mage.
Though even then I at least learned how to BLM despite hating the class, because I don’t half ass when I level.
