If you fail to achieve your dreams, change your ways not your God. Remember, trees change their leaves and not their roots. You will never reach your destination if you stop and throw stones to every dog that barks. Haters will see you walking on water and say its because you can't swim. I am a woman but I will not cower in fear and shame before you. I have come too far to be ignored and have learnt how to look my adversary in the eye. They have tried to keep me back, locked in the dark for too long but it has only been to their own detriment because my eyes do not grow dim but have only adjusted so that I can see more clearly in the dark and no longer fear the night. I see the predator and I can predict its every move before any attempt on my life. Don’t come for me unless you are looking to breathe your very last breath.

It's been a while...

I moved to the city and I'm happy here. Baltimore isn't a New York, but after my first visit to the Big Apple, I'm so happy it's not. I can now live an active life and I can find happiness in the opportunities I create. I can relive some of the greater moments of my childhood. I can go out and create something for myself. 

I can be me.
