I read I Will Follow You Into The Dark by shions_heart and wordsandjank yesterday. I'm still upset over that last chapter. Oh my god my sweet children did not deserve so much pain. I love the story though. It's like captain america meets pacific rim meets attack on titan. It brings me joy in the premise, and the character interaction is great. But my heart is still ten shades of broken.

real talk tho why do fic writers like being so mean to ai

Unfortunately because I am just me, I can’t speak for all fic writers, so I can only speak for myself. 

I’m ‘mean’ to Ai because I’m trying to tell a- hopefully- interesting story. If everything went right all the time, then things can get boring fast, both for the reader and writer (in my experience). Conflict is great, and allows me to write out different reactions, or different ways to solve difficult problems. When characters are put into tough situations, you can really explore their morals and get to dig in deeper into the character themselves. It’s not pointless. I don’t write out ‘mean’ things just for the fun of it. Like I said, I’m trying to tell a story, one of conflict, and triumph, and heartache, and love. If it was all triumph and love all the time, then it wouldn’t be interesting. It’s the story of overcoming adversity that’s satisfying, not simply the triumph alone.

depends on the situation but most times i ask more questions. 

2. In general, what are you searching for in a romantic partner?

l m a o um...i really just want someone who’s patient with me and lets me be dramatic but also helps me through that shit and also can call me out when i’m being too much of a shit????? 

3. If you could have any mythical beast as a familiar what would you select and why?

garnet. can i say garnet? either her or a sea bear. maybe a dragon. 

4. What’s one thing you can’t seem to let go of?

fuckin LINDA from my spanish class last year stole my really nice pen and when i was like hey i think you took my pen she tried to be like “noooo” and give me a shitty pen to use. SHE WAS LIKE 60 AND SHE STOLE MY DAMN NICE PEN. 

5. Which do you value more– caution or action? Why?

action, mostly because i am way too fucking cautious and need to get over it.
