Friends For Pie

Today she will make a blackberry pie

Today she will pick blackberries - one, two!

Today she will mix those blackberries with sugar and cinnamon

She will fold them gently into a piecrust and bake at 375

a day on a pie, friends are for pie, pie gone, friends here.

Extremely loud

I am extremely loud. I am an older brother. I am a proud son, Of a not so proud mother. I am fighter, Especially when it comes to those close to me, Because I am a lover. I am a writer, Procrastinating, self questioning, second guessing, over confident, insecure mess. I take this stress to the paper instead of picking back up a lighter, Because my name is Andrew and I am an addict. I am extremely loud, I am only slightly dramatic, I have been known to cause static. I am Tragically ill equipped, With an erratic heart beat, Size 12 shoes, With size nine feet. I am hard to beat. I am a sore loser and over competitive. I am regret, Because anyone who says "no regrets" is a fucking liar, Because life is making stupid choices an learning from them. I am forgive, But not forget. I am extremely loud.

Desolation

Desolation, Destruction, Three words from the mouth of the overseer, Riddled with intoxication, Plagued to destroy an entire civilization, Let the smoke clear to see a army of devote hypocrites with clogged arteries, Pardon me, If I'm a little pissed off, But this Americman scheme is not what they promised me. They flaunted the riches when all I had was rags, They preached a loving family, But I had to choose between my mom and my dad. The American dream didn't die, It was smothered, and covered up to look like an accident. But I will not rest until I can resuscitate the ideals of a once proud nation , And restore the rhythm of the heart beating inside each and every one of our chests, Until every from of our currency reads, "We are truly blessed, in us we trust"

The simplicity of a child's mind

A part of me wishes I could forget all of my responsibilities and sit in the garden me and my grandmother worked on when I was a child. Maybe that's too much too ask, to travel back to the past, Back to a place much simpler than this, Back to a time when he was still alive, And my only concern was what was for lunch. Now don't get me wrong, I don't regret the choices I've made that make me the man I am today, Because if my grandfather could see me today , I know for a fact he would say, Andrew , I am damn proud of you.
