The BBC/government are doing a thing for UK people to give their views on stuff before law changes come into place. Thing is, on their consultation sheet, nearly all the questions are positive with positive answers, it doesn't give you an option to say something negative at times

However. It did have a whole section about TV licensing. Thing is, they literally say in it about if the BBC should find more ways to make people pay, if the BBC needs to do more to make people pay, and if the BBC should still be using this system. Thing is, those questions strongly indicate people's fears, that they want to make the TV license include YouTube

But fuck off. These cunts harass me monthly to declare I don't need a TV license. Even though i did so, repeatedly, for years, and only recently got tired of doing it. They constantly tell me they're gonna fine me £1,000, prosecute me, take me to court, get the police involved, invade my privacy, everything. Fuck. Off. I am not giving those bastards a penny. Even if they change their laws, which they will, to include YouTube under the TV license

I am fucking terrified. They are still talking about, and are currently working to implement abolishing the WCA. If I lose the health element to UC, I'm fucked. I can't work, i can't get PIP, i can't get by without the health element to UC, and i cannot cope with being homeless again and losing everything again, especially when this time I have no friends to rely on, no homeless shelter, and my situation won't change anyway as my financial situation won't. They're currently debating ending my life in a few years to protect the elite. I am so fucking scared about what I'll do in a few years when I lose the health element to UC but have no other means or choices. I feel fucking miserable and terrified. Fuck off. Get absolutely fucked. The fuck am I gonna pay a fucking licensing fee to fund them, when money is scarce and they're proudly choosing to end my life in a few years. Like fuck am I supporting them. The audacity to make such huge cuts to the benefits system all over, then try to find new ways to squeeze more money out of us for an archaic system none of us are interacting with for a reason

The DWP: you have a work capability assessment via telephone next week.

Me: ummm I have communication issues and shutdowns and no one to support me in this call. If I suddenly can't communicate verbally I'll have to just end the call. I don't want to be penalized for this.

DWP: We'll cancel this for two weeks then be in touch with another appointment giving you time to source support

Me: Calls autism support service (run by volunteers) and asks for support

Autism Support Service: We don't offer that but can refer you to CAB and write a letter about your needs. Come in next week.

Me in appointment: So yeah that's me and my needs in brief.

Autism Support Service: Great we will write a letter and it will be with you next week and we've referred you to the CAB.

Me: Thank you so much that's really helpful.

CAB calls: yeah we don't offer that service but you can ask for a face to face appointment at your home. You'll need a doctor's letter to support this though. Here's a number for an advocacy service local to you. They could help you in the appointment but there may be a waiting list.

Me Calls advocacy service: Hey I was given your number by the CAB... Explains issue...

Advocacy: We don't do that or anything to do with benefits. They CAB may be able to help.

Me: actually they can't but thank you anyway.

So now I have to get GP appointment and letter to say that I need a Face to face appointment at home due to communication issues and autistic shutdowns.

This is a lot of communication that I've had to do to arrange support and make accessible an assessment that is there to assess my disabilities in relation to work. It's taken weeks to get this far no of least because I can't communicate with everyone back to back even if that were possible. I can't sit on the phone and call and call people explaining everything over and over again in one go.

All this to access an assessment with an organisation who deal with disabled people all the time. Set up by a government who have made getting support to access health care, social care and any support with anything like this impossible due to cutting funds to public services. It's almost like the system is set up to make it really fucking hard for people to access benefits.

I've had word back about my "Work Capability Assessment" assessment back, and I've been found to have "limited capability for work and work related activity"!

That means I get some extra money and don't need to attend the pointless fortnightly "hi, I'm still ill" appointments. They would take a day or two out of my schedule with recovery time.

The letter says I may be asked to attend another assessment in the future, which gives me no clue as to how long I will hold this status. At least with PIP they said it would be three years.

I'm so scared about this assessment, as it feels like it's sealing my fate

I have no hopes of getting PIP, none. But look, they're still talking of when and how they will be abolishing the WCA. Not if. When and how. But again, I don't know what I am meant to do. If I don't get PIP, which i won't. I cannot get by without the health element to UC, I cannot cope with work when I struggle day to day as is, I cannot cope with losing the girls, my home, or my possessions again. I can't go through a homeless shelter again, even then if my financial situation won't improve, my life won't improve, so there'd be no way out this time anyway. But again, mentally, I really couldn't cope with it. This is also without them making PIP harder to get this year, to the point it will be nearly impossible, even for people with severe disabilities. So I have no hopes soon, and my chances are already barely non-existent. Even then, yes, i already lost it once, I have no hopes of being able to keep it, I know so many people in my personal life who had it and either lost it, or got a reduced amount after a review, this happens all the time

I just don't get what I am meant to do, or what my options are. Like when they implement this in a few years, what am I meant to do? What are my options? After my assessment comes back, I will find it so hard not to crash when I get told I'm not getting PIP, cause it's telling me my future is fucked. I almost wish this would happen after my birthday, I want to enjoy it, and this will ruin it. I'm so stressed and scared, and this will put me in such a dark place again. I just don't get what I'm meant to do

I also am just terrified of failing a reassessment for UC before then anyway. Cause again, if that happens and I lose the health element, I'm fucked. I am so scared of a reassessment

I saw something yesterday that is causing me stress again

It said while people and disability charities were successful at fighting off a big white paper, this isn't necessarily a good thing. As the government will instead try to do these things indivually, as being part of a big white paper, they had minimal chances of going through, but as individual, small changes, not only are they less likely to be opposed, but people/charities won't be able to keep up and fight them

I am currently trying to put a PIP application through, but I have no hopes of getting it as my issues aren't necessarily PIP related. But apparently people are demanding them to share their plans for abolishing the work capability assessment, and they are refusing to, which means they are still doing it and planning it out but won't share it

But I am just so scared. I am scared of failing a reassessment whenever I have one of those anyway, failing my PIP one really has made me terrified. But they are talking of removing it around 2028-2030, and again, I just don't get what I am meant to do? If I can't get PIP, but have my health element of UC taken, but also cannot get by without the extra money, and cannot work. What am I meant to do? I can't lose everything again, I can't be homeless again, I have no safety nets this time, there is no way to bounce back. I can't lose the girls, my possessions, my home. I just don't get what they expect of or want from me? And this will be happening in just a few years? What am I meant to do? It's only a few years away?

And the thing is, everyone was upset about PIP but no one cared about people like me, so I know abolishing the WCA is gonna go through, I just know it is, especially if they are putting it through as an individual change. But I just don't get what I'm supposed to do? I have no other means or no other choices, I have no way to recover and I cannot put myself through all of it again. And I still have that fear of failing a reassessment either way. I can't get by without this money, I can't work, I can't lose everything again, i have no other means of support. What am I meant to do?
