Had an early Christmas dinner with my coworkers last night, and I’m exhausted, but it was such a great time, so no complaints🙂↕️
Of course, I went for an Asian dish (I’m really not a fan of traditional Christmas meals)😅And the strawberry lime cocktail was the highlight of the night! it even outshined the crème brûlée, and nothing outshines crème brûlée. ✨
off to a dinner for work 😩
Am I officially a girl boss since I went to a work dinner for the first time?
dinner @ Dagu Rice Noodle
Revisited this place after a loooooong time with some coworkers after work.
The place looks the exactly the same as how I remembered it to be. Their menu has new things now. .. some items I recognize, there's now rice bowls & their drinks. ..my goodness, it's on a separate cafeteria tray-sized laminated page, double sided! The latest addition, through finding out on social media, is that they have introduced AYCE! The price is $29.99.
For reference, their noodle soups which is eligible for unlimited noodle refills is ~$15.
^ I ordered the B2 - the spicy crossing the bridge noodle with lamb.
This is the standard no-extra topping tray of ingredients that come with noodle soup (the $15 ones that I mentioned above).
The AYCE is basically this.. . but "AYCE" & the menu also contains some appetizers. I THINK it is worth $29.99. When you do add-on's like extra proteins, it's $3 per item.
In any case, the crossing the bridge noodles (regardless of what flavour you choose) is presented like this: soup in a large bowl, noodles separate, & the tray of toppings.
& then you dump everything in!
Very satisfying meal after a long & boring day at work lol
Speaking of work, it's been approx 4 months in my new role now. I give it a rating of 4/10 lol it wasn't in me to go higher than my current position but a part of me has been ignited or something. I have a desire to climb up >.<
Dear Gus & Magnus,
Usually when I go to events for work, I'm part of the behind-the-scenes crew, but today and tomorrow I'm in Frisco as a participant in a professional development class.
I've been hit with allergies hard this year, which is especially unfortunate right now because we're in the thick of making videos for owners meeting next week and I have a lot of voiceover work to do, but every time I talk, I sound sick. I'm doing all I can to get over it quickly, including not drinking alcohol.
I like testing my self-discipline, I like saving the money I would've spent on alcohol, and I like waking up with a clear head. I have also been hoping that not drinking would result in me losing some weight, but I've been at this for nine days and when I got on the scale at home yesterday, I weighed 198.6, which is the most I've weighed this year other than on March 8 when I clocked in at 199. Perhaps this is just life at 40 years old.
