It was a productive day today.
Though the day started at 1pm (for me, that is) when I had my class on Personality Development then moving to our despedida-slash-pizza-party that we had for our dear friend who'll be migrating to another region in a few days. We had a good laugh, while talking about all the randomness we can think about of, over a cup of coffee and matcha, of course.
After the coffee and laughter, we had a walk and got fresh air in the bay walk while having some talks about K-pop, K-drama, highschool crushes and future dreams. Oh, think about the spectrum of where girls' conversations can shift to and from. lol
But that wasn't the highlight, though. It was when we had a short stop over at 7/11 for another cup of coffee and icecream, where I was introduced to a person who happened to be the program coordinator of a local SPED school. She asked if our group (group of friends that creates music for a cause) is open for a proposal where we can teach their children music, arts and even share stories to them.
And oh, was I so thrilled. I almost had my heart leaping for excitement. I was long enough praying to connect with a local group or community with special needs where I would be able to extend help in the best of my ability and capacity, or at least in music and the arts. It was a long-time desire to have them as one of my inspirations, and it was like an answered prayer, that finally, after years of waiting, the time is here. Finally. I will be able to share my knowledge and skills to children with special needs. And not just one child but one hundred of them.
I am really looking forward to work with them by sharing a piece of my heart and hands to them. (Maybe I won't sleep tonight because of the excitement. Haha) But this is really a big one for me. Not just because I want to inspire others by doing so, but because they are one of my inspirations why I do my art.
So I would say, it was a day well-spent. The right people will find you in the right time. Your dreams will come true when the time is right as well.
