Our wins are over very small things you might think, but here in rural India they are HUGE. Our workshop is now over 80% women.... it took ages but we are getting there. Our biggest wins though are in confidence building and encouraging our gang to build on what they know and to learn more. Many women/girls arrive and say they can't write or make records.... admittedly schooling was short and all based on rote learning.... We push and help and other gang members with more exposure to us, pull and amazing things happen. Yesterday our packing list was made by M, who did not write when she started, knew how but never had to. She made the list herself, ...so many away at weddings she could not rope anyone else in. She was so pleased as she handed it into the office and confidently said it was correct. And it was. My heart is bursting with that type of event. GO GIRLS !! YOU CAN. Our list of those who can Grows each day. Can organize Can write Can learn machine Can pick up new ideas.
