Terriers. Not even once. (Jokey)
Honestly I do hope she gets back down safely. Dogs are quite capable, but man if seeing them climb stuff doesn't make me go "you're supposed to be on the ground". Equal parts amazing and concerning.
Don’t worry, all my posting occurs post-giant-tree-feral removal. Though I do also believe in ‘if you got up there, you have to get down’, which she did.
Pixie was also involved but she couldn’t get to the higher section thankfully
Lucky/Unlucky
Day 14 (like, actual day 14 unlike yesterday which was just pretending 😬): The Great Gatsby! Lakeland Terrier Extraordinaire! Also know as the best dog in the whole world.
Ahh I miss him so much (he’ll be visiting again at the end of November though!)
Going to get this as a tattoo... watch this space!
A Jack Russell terrier and a Parson Russell terrier may look similar, but in fact there are several important differences
Now this is a horribly written article if I’ve ever seen one.
Quoting Eddie Chapman (Foxwarren) one second, then disparaging all KC registered PRTs the next.
The Parson Russell Terrier Club was founded in 1983, 1990 was the year the breed was recognised.
And implying there aren’t still a lot of JRTCGB dogs with obvious Patterdale/Lakeland ancestry, e.g. heads (which is probably why he complains of the Parsons ‘longer’ head)
Woody caught her first rabbit today! She has flushed plenty of course but this time she did actually catch it, and I’m very proud of her. She carried it all the way home and then buried it in a pile of dirt in the active construction site that is our driveway currently, so I made her dig it back up lol
^ very pleased animal burying her prize
This is the only version of this trend I stand by. Everyone else talking about herders/spaniels/retrievers/bullies/etc was just talking about normal dog behaviour like it was singular to their breed type. This is truely a situation unique to terrier owners. This will happen to you if a terrier manifests in your home. Be warned
Happy ten-ish years to this image. She still does this
