To trim or not to trim? That is the question.
(I'm talking about cutting a couple inches or more off but nowhere close to shaving so don't get it twisted)
I will be part of a team from my company and the state transportation agency presenting a bridge replacement project at a public meeting tomorrow evening. I will be wearing a suit and tie.
It fair to say that the project manager wants me to cut my beard. He asked if I was going to see a barber before the meeting. I already cut my own hair (and cleaned up the beard just a bit), so no need for that.
My daughter, however, got quite upset when I asked her about cutting it shorter. She does not want me to have a little beard. She didn't want me to cut it "at all" but I finally got her to agree that I could cut just the "teeniest bit" of it.
Problem is, I don't want to cut it either. I was going to do it when I cut my hair but I just couldn't bring myself to go through with it. And I'm glad I didn't. Instead of having to hear her cry when she saw my little beard I got to hear her laugh when I told her I wouldn't cut it.
