A little self drafted #SewYourStash project, inspired by a dress I saw a Macy's 14ish years ago, when I briefly worked there. This fun little colorful number is basically a modified pillowcase dress. I added a casing and some elastic at the waist for shaping and an exaggerated shirttail hem. Instead of using fabric or ribbon for the, I used a plastic chain (from AC Moore...so also a stash item), shown in slide 2. It's lined with a random linen-esque textured knit, that gives it just enough body that the dress isn't sticking to you. The back does have some hook & eyes, but it's just as easy to unclip the plastic chain (picture 3) *disclaimer: yes, there's still a Christmas wreath on that door.
