It’s finished! Presenting the just completed CSM Ball Chair Cover. Made with Legare 400 circular sock knitting machine and a sewing machine. Cover secures ball to wheelie base making it safer to use. Progress update: (silent video) here is a view of edge stitch securing with my sewing machine. The fabric shown is Birkeland Wool worked in the round using 52 stitches of a 54 cylinder on my Legare 400. I then cut up the tube on one of the two rows of unknitted stitches. Due to this very fibre-rich, fuzzy wool the only way to get it to knit on my csm was to set it on the loosest machine tension creating a fairly dense knitted fabric. I’ve been working though my different Birkeland Wool lately in this manner with the idea of making a blanket.
