Not a normal day at the office today. Here’s a weird excerpt from an otherwise decent session working through some approximations of moving towards a transport trailer. Through most of the session we were able to reinforce feet moving forward, weight shifts forward or head movement in our direction. In this clip we got a duck and two unacknowledged food tosses. And yes we are in with the hippo! However you can’t see our escape paths nearby and he is an old arthritic guy more likely to go back in his pool than move in our direction due to neighboring hippos creating a fear response that require these tiny approximations. #workisanadventure #hippotraining #zooanimals #zooanimaltraining #positivereinforcement #forcefreeanimaltraining #animalwelfare
