💉SETTING UP A CLINICAL WORKJOU📔
so when setting up a work bullet journal (workjou) you’re gonna need the basics, obvs. A future page, index, key, monthly spreads, maybe trackers, etc - you need these basics.
Monthly splash page - what’s the latest meeting about? Is there a big event going on too? (E.g like my CQC inspection)
Hacks for your computer system of choice. I use system one, but also sometimes ecamis, and other systems. In this section I also include all the little ‘quirks’ of my trust when using the system.
This page is great for your appraisals. The idea I got from Pinterest 😉 it’s also beneficial because it helps you understand where work starts and ends, for a healthy work/life balance.
Continual professional development is a thing. This is useful for a lot of stuff, all the stuff you wanna study, mandatory training, etc. Make sure you include how many hours you’ve spent on something, and the date.
Career tree! You gotta have an idea of what you wanna do, and how you’ve progressed. Again is this great to show at an appraisal.
REFLECTIVE PRACTICE
It doesn’t always have to be pretty, it includes scrawls. Bonus if you have a bunch of different types of reflection / reflection cycles!
Weeklies - if you’re working obviously this is only for the days you work.
I’ve experimented with what kind of layout works best for me, and I prefer to have the times of my appointments written down so I can check (rather than going to appointments>overview)
Finally, if you’re gonna do this, be REALLY FUCKING CAREFUL! Patient details can’t be written down, you can’t write down logins, if this gets lost it can’t be misused.
