✦How to Stay Calm Through Week Chaos✦
3 useful tips
Week chaos doesn’t need to disappear for calm to exist. It just needs structure that supports you.
1. Have one non-negotiable ritual 📖
Consistency creates safety.
Choose one small thing that stays the same every day - a coffee moment, a short planning reset, a walk, or five minutes of silence. When everything else shifts, this ritual anchors you.
2. Use a “today only” mindset 📅
Today is enough.
Instead of carrying the whole week, focus on what belongs to this day. Not everything needs attention at once - clarity comes from narrowing your focus.
3. Close the day with relaxing habit 🫧
Rest starts before sleep.
End the day by clearing your mind - write unfinished tasks down, dim the lights, step away from screens. A calm ending prepares you for a calmer tomorrow PLUS your eyes need rest too.
Chaos doesn’t disappear. But you can learn how to move through it calmly 🌑

12/22/2025
Last day of duty, last meeting of the year!
Closing my 2025 chapter here at the HR office. Recap of all the achievements, lessons learned and of course, the mandatory planning for next year kahit ang utak ko nasa bakasyon na talaga. 😅
Looking at this photo, I can’t help but feel a mix of everything. This year was a wild ride… full of struggles, pains, happiness and wins. It wasn’t easy but we made it! To the versions of me that cried, laughed and worked overtime…we’re finally closing this book.
And the best part? I’m literally taking flight tonight! After all the puyat and pagod, it’s finally time to unwind.
Closing 2025 with a grateful heart. Ready for a fresh start and even better adventures. See you on the other side of the clouds!
What's realistic about Emily in Paris
I remember hating on Emily in Paris the first time I watched it. I thought it was dumb, cheesy, superficial, unrealistic, cringe...
And then I grew up, moved abroad, started dating, started working, graduated...
Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu recently said (on Tommy DiDario's podcast) that this series shows where we are in culture in terms of women's emancipation. It is happening; these characters can have all the boyfriends they want, but they are also so lonely.
Also, their relationships are so fragile - of course this is written to keep the plot interesting, but relationships are not stable these days, so maybe this show is not complete rubbish.
Another thing Philippine mentioned was about chasing and work. Notice that everything looks very glamorous, but all the characters are constantly at work, chasing another business opportunity.
Emily can be very childish and annoying, and sometimes show enormous lack of common sense, but then it occurred to me that I was just as lost when moving abroad. When you throw yourself into a completely new environment, of course you don't know anything and you usually learn things the hard way.
It also makes a lot of sense that the main friendgroup is international - Emily from Chicago, Alfie from London, Mindy from China and Gabriel from France. They also book jobs internationally - Paris, Rome, Shanghai...
The work environment naturally is not the easiest. In the beginning, Sylvie is very harsh on Emily, and so is everybody else in the office. I realized that I was similarly feeling looked down upon, underrated, and teased at my first serious job.
Tbh, I think the points about emancipation, loneliness, and work are the strongest.
On a very personal note, just like Emily, I moved countries twice and ended up in Italy. Just like Sylvie, I gotta get things started here - I may not have an office to run, but I do have to network.
