workmans compensation near me in Vero Beach
http://www.sokoloffandweinstein.com/claim-workers-compensation/
If you have been injured at work, you may have a claim for Workers Compensation, which is a very specialized area of law. You may be entitled to lost wage and medical benefits. While workers’ compensation attorneys Sokoloff & Weinstein, P.A. do not personally practice in this area of the law, they maintain a close relationship with a local law firm that is regarded as one of the premier Workers’ Compensation firms in the county.
too. much. stress. health crap and work comp rant under the cut. i need to vent. y'all can skip over this. i just need to write junk out right now so i can maybe clear my mind to sleep~
i swear no one at my work comp agency knows what the FUCK they are doing. i talk to the nurse and she says one thing, then my adjustor and get a completely different answer. like.. are these people even trained? T_T getting a hold of them is like trying to find the holy grail for fucks sake. my adjustor sent me a list of doctors today (finally.. two weeks+ after the prescription was sent to see these doctors ASAP) to help with my depression and another for my nerve damage.. none of them listed actually treat neuro and most weren't even psych doctors.. so cue two hours of research (for some reason, most doctors dont take work comp!) and i managed to email her with some.. i hope i can get in soon and that one of the ones we found work. thank god for my mommy. she took the wheel because i cannot handle this stress for some reason. im too stressed and out of my valium, so it's not a good time for extra BS right now.
im really sick of not being able to walk for more than.. 15 minutes a day? havent driven in nearly three months and an hour outing in a wheelchair or using my knee caddy kills me for the next 2-3 days. i'm worried by how quickly the damage to my foot and leg has progressed in the past few months. i sometimes wonder if they know i am a real, live 23 year old girl who had huge ambitions and wonderful life and now i can't make my own meals. my life consists of trying to sleep through pain, waking up exhausted, icing my foot and behind my leg to numbness or it will burn like lava, being sick from pain pills all day, and stuck to a recliner. yes, this is exactly how i want the prime of my life. all thanks to a terrible doctor who messed me up in surgery and took too long to admit it.. and now 8...? months since the pain really started setting in i'm worried it may be a little too late. i don't wanna be so dependent for simple things at such a young age. i just wanna be able to care for myself more, get to a place where i can hopefully walk or drive again, don't even care if i need a cane or crutches, i can deal with that~ >//< i miss having jobs and not having to attend school online. it's just.. so frustrating. i have CRPS for christ sake.. it's not a nerve damage to mess around with! i got /another/ infection in my foot again as well which idk how it even got in there since it needs an open wound? but second time with this exact infection! there has got to be more than a damaged nerve happening here.
i am really lucky my mom and step dad are helping take care of a lot of the hunting down stuff, i get stressed super easily over that sort of thing for some reason. and soon we are looking into a lawyer so i can stress less and most likely sue them all, since quite a few people have advised us too. it makes me really really nervous.. and a bit more stressed about suing people.
lesson for you all. never get injured at work. and never, ever let a doctor push you around when your body is telling you it is not okay even if xrays look okay and then have it be past the "safe" point of catching an illness like CRPS (AKA should be treated within the first three months for the easiest and most reliable healing). always listen to your body and fight until that doctor steps up and listens to you.
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and Workman's Compensation
Sponsored by the Carpal Rx
Many workers get carpal tunnel syndrome from performing the duties associated with their jobs. As their carpal tunnel syndrome worsens, they are unable to perform these jobs and often require time off of work or changes in their duties.
(Do you have carpal tunnel syndrome or wrist tendonitis? Take this free self-test to tell the difference.)
While Workman's Compensation should normally pay for time off of work and health-related benefits, this is not always the case.
When it comes to workman's compensation and carpal tunnel syndrome, there are 3 important facts to keep in mind:
--When compared to back injuries, carpal tunnel syndrome cases are actually more likely to result in lost time claims
--Women suffer from carpal tunnel syndrome more frequently than men
--Workers who file carpal tunnel injury claims are usually paid higher than workers who file back injury claims
The average cost per carpal tunnel claim is about $16,000. This is the amount of money Workman’s Compensation pays on average for carpal tunnel claims. When a worker has an attorney, however, this average jumps to nearly $30,000.
