Auditions next week!!
I'm so excited to be working with this director again. He's a babe and I love him. Basically my older brother. We're like the director/stage management team of the year. Because we're perfect together.
Our run of AND THEN THE LIGHTS WENT OUT has ended, and the lights really went out last night at the Pumphouse Theatre.
Thank you so much, everyone who came out to catch our production of Andy Garland's play! It's been a wonderful experience, I could not have asked for a more talented & hard-working cast & crew, and I can't wait to work with everyone again!
Enjoy this latest cache of rehearsal photos, featuring Jayson Therrien as Jim O'Reiley (the private eye), Tawni Barton as Officer Lucy Debrie (the sidekick), Dennis Kaufman as Bruno Dawes (the muscle), Kayte Davies as Claire (the femme fatale), Sarah Hemphill as Nia (the neighbour), Ross Hart as Duke Morrison (the shipping magnate), Grace Lu as Adelle Berger (the landlady) and Andrew Schuessler as Thomas Levine (the writer).

Evolution of a play (in still pictures).
WORKSHOP THEATRE's AND THEN THE LIGHTS WENT OUT, written by Andy Garland, directed by Shelby Reinitz and produced by Alan LeBoeuf, begins February 14th, 2014 (Valentine's Day Friday) at the Pumphouse Joyce Dolittle Theatre.
A chilling saga of dames, deceit and writer's block. Staring down an impossible deadline, Thomas Levine is starting to unravel. Whether brought on by the heat or the stress, the fictional characters from his detective novel-in-progress are dropping in on him in his apartment, offering literary advice and drinking all of his liquor. With the publisher breathing down his neck and the landlady clamoring for the rent, Thomas will have to find some way to pull it all together and write himself out of this mess... before the lights go out.

Thomas – Andrew Schuessler Nia – Sarah Hemphill Adelle – Grace Lu Jim – Jayson Therrien Lucy – Tawni Barton Bruno – Dennis Kaufman Duke – Ross Hart Claire – Kayte Davies

I had decided that I would just focus on my school work this semester seeing as my courses are pretty intense. But I can't bring myself to focus when I don't have a show to work on. Just submitted an interest form to stage manage at a local theatre so we'll see where that goes (fingers crossed!)
I always feel antsy when I'm not working on a show, so I really hope this goes somewhere.
Apologies for the belated post, but two weeks ago we held our fundraiser at LS6 Cafe on Hyde Park Corner.
The event comprised of an open mic, a raffle and a bake sale, and was a huge success. Fun was had, and more importantly we raised lots of money to help purchase props and costume.
Several members of the cast and both of our directors performed, with highlights including Dave Reeson's acoustic version of Britney Spears' Toxic, and director Alex's Johnny Cash impression.
