It isn’t our Sashiko piece. One of my Sashiko friends (who took our Sashiko workshop before) is working on this beautiful Jacket and shared it with me. I am extremely happy that she continues enjoying Sashiko and the result is magnificent. The same as what we make. She enjoys the process of stitching, and that is the message I would like to share. Sashiko is a process of caring someone (including oneself). ☆ The workshop is going great! Many good people in the good atmosphere. Sashiko isn’t about being right or wrong, or making the beautiful stitch or not. I hope I could share the beauty of “ordinary people’ stitching” and the result of their own live (rhythm). This is the weekend of our Sashiko workshop in NYC. I am happy to meet new Sashiko friends and share the Sashiko we enjoy. The Sashiko Stitching Workshop (Core & Basic) in NYC is coming to the next weekend, 4/13 and 4/14. We have a very limited numbers of spot open. 1 spot for 4/13 and 3 spots for 4/14. I always use “Asanoha” when I teach Sashiko in our Sashiko Workshop (Core & Basic). Sashiko isn’t only about filling the patterns with stitching. The beautiful pattern with many stitches are just a result of Sashiko. In order to explain & share & teach Sashiko, Asano-ha is the best pattern because of several reasons. ☆ Atsushi’s Workshop is coming on this saturday, Feb 16th in Purl Soho NYC. It is the best way to learn the Sashiko “Running Stitch” and enjoy Sashiko stitching more. Check our video (in previous posts) what I mean by running stitch.
