Maybe there is hope for us in the fututre
guys i've been out and let me tell you, people here are in some kind of trance, walking around like drugged, smiling randomly to themselves...kids are in parks playing football like crazy, people going to work all dressed up but with little details like checkered cravats or bracelets or painted nails, everybody can't wait to get home and watch the game again, bars and coffee shops are blasting croatian music or game commentary... it's so lovely 😍😍
Coutinho on the floor Passing the ball is the sexiest thing I've ever seen
I didn't reblogged memes about Argentina being dead for it to be alive

World Cup: The Numbers Game
FIFA president Gianni Infantino has floated the idea of having 48 teams compete at the 2020 soccer World Cup in Qatar.
The tournament in the tiny Gulf state will already be a ‘first’ for FIFA because it is due to be staged in November and December rather than the traditional months of June and July. This is because the summer temperatures in Qatar are regularly over 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
If Infantino’s idea goes ahead, it would be the biggest World Cup in terms of the number of teams taking part.
The first World Cup took place in 1930 in Uruguay and featured just 13 teams. Three more teams were added for the tournament in 1934 in Italy. After a break for World War II, 16 teams qualified for the 1950 World Cup in Brazil but only 13 ended up taking part due to withdrawals before the tournament.
The tournament reverted back to 16 teams for the 1954 World Cup and stayed at the number for every World Cup up until Spain 1982. Then it was increased to 24, the largest number of teams which had ever taken part in the competition.
That number was increased further in 1998 when France played host to 32 teams. There have been no further increases since then, with 32 teams taking part in Russia 2018 where France won their second World.
Five-time winners Brazil are the most successful team in the history of the World Cup and are the only team to have competed at every tournament.
