Colourbox, “The Official Colourbox World Cup Theme” (4AD, 1986). Non so davvero come ho fatto a scordarmene ieri, visto che si tratta di una tradizione irrinunciabile (una tra le tante) di questo tumblr. Vogliate quindi anche per questo Mondiale riscoprire lo spingardesco Official Theme registrato da quei gégni incompresi dei Colourbox nel 1986 (sulla B-side del singolo c’era un pezzo intitolato “Philip Glass”, per dire). The track “The Official Colourbox World Cup Theme” was originally intended as a football theme, and almost lived up to its name when it was up for consideration as the theme for BBC’s World Cup Grandstand during the broadcast of the 1986 FIFA World Cup in Mexico.
