The Romanian fans, before coming to Bosnia and Herzegovina, decided to go to Serbia and send us a message by openly glorifying a war criminal.
Esmir Bajraktarević, a 20 year old, whose parents are from Srebrenica, where so many lost their lives to the genocide carried out by those very people they hailed...
He scored a worldie. ❤️
Yes, that screen is absolute ass.
And we scored another goal after this 😄
But anyway... I just wanted to share a piece of our story with you. Fascism, xenophobia... Call it what you want at this point. Our history is painful, our country is still unstable - as if the war happened yesterday.
I was there during the game - they were loud. The hooligans who tried to provoke us even further by bringing in Serbian flags and singing nationalistic songs.
I don't hate Romania, or their players, or the people - as a matter of fact I think this will all pass quite soon and we'll all be back at being Balkan buddies! But to feel their hate like this, and to see the justice served...
The feeling and the atmosphere (on the stadium their media kept calling ugly, by the way - once again insulting us) can not be described.
Absolute cinema.
No matter what happens tomorrow, I love this country. I love this team. And I felt the need to share it here too.
No matter who you are, or where you're from, NEVER let the fascists intimidate you.
Jedna si jedina, Bosna i Hercegovina 🇧🇦❤️
