While the concept of "the end of the known world" continues to be explored on screens in all its aspects, children in Gaza continue to experience unspeakable cruelty. After bombardments that left not even a single building standing, those who survived struggle to survive the cold under thin canvas tents, their feet in water and mud. Meanwhile, there's a picture of peace painted by "very pious," "very peaceful," "very patriotic" political leaders, as if the genocide is not ongoing. There is no effort, other than from civil society, to liberate the people held captive in the region or to bring peace to those senselessly murdered elsewhere in the world. These very peaceful political leaders, with their secret dealings being revealed more and more each day, continue to shed blood or turn a blind eye to the brutality in their helplessness. No one is conducting diplomacy; everyone is silent. In the face of this brutality that wounds our consciences, humanity stands firm, declaring at every step that what is happening has no racial or religious dimensions, paving the way for justice and peace.
