I stopped playing games for a long time. This sort of happens naturally as you work on level design and game environment art. If you stopped, you must start playing again to open yourself up to new level design and game art experiences.

This is so true to me, before I played to have fun only, now I keep having fun, but while studying how the game is done.

Just started whiteboxing on top of my level sketch in UE4 for a FPS portfolio project where I mainly will be focusing on the level design process.

Other than having a voice actor do some lines and Christopher Peduru Aratchi taking care of the audio I will be on my own this time, using purchased 3D assets from the UE4 marketplace as well as some meshes from WoLD’s “The Corridor” project.

BUT one thing at a time, now I’m in the whiteboxing and prototyping phase!
