I leave California behind for three months tomorrow. Is three months a long time? Or is that just a little time? It's important to define this for myself, because it will help me decide how I should feel about leaving. Benedict Cumberbatch taught English in a Tibetan monestary for five months. That's a long time. Nick lived in Norway for 1 year. That's a hell-of-long time. I once toured around Europe with a choir for three weeks. That's just a little time. Perhaps we should agree my stay in Bolivia will amount to a median amount of time, relative to Benedict and I's experiences, and a very short time compared to Nick's. All this calculating places my current level of feeling at: "it's not goodbye, just see ya later." Thanks again, Benedict Calcubatch. And a shoutout to husbae too, for setting the bar so high. I won't miss you though, In & Out. You're a solid goodbye. You know why.
