as of 11/24/24, 7:54 PM EST, these are the most recent donations to Youssef's ( @yousefalyazjii1 ) fundraiser. this might look like a lot, but kr100 SEK is equal to about $10 USD.

youssef needs to raise at least $450 for this coming week in order to buy food & diapers for his son alaa, and to save money for any medicine his wife, mona, might need for her inflamed lung. she has already had surgery for it, and the surgery has not fixed it. all access to necessary food, supplies, and medical attention is few and far in between, and exorbitantly expensive.

today, youssef was able to buy some food and medicine for his wife and son. he is also slowly getting over a cold, but the winter weather and lack of warmth make that difficult. because he's been sick, he hasn't been able to be online lately; this is why using our voices is so, so important.

help youssef restore his e-sim!!

hello all. i think a lot of us take internet connection and cell service for granted, myself included. the fact that we can just take our phones out in most places and be able to communicate with those around us is a huge privilege.

my friend youssef ( @yousefalyazjii1 ) is in gaza right now, and he doesn't have the luxury of an internet connection. to go online, he has to walk away from his family to a special hotspot that is constantly in danger of being targeted by israel. he also has to pay to charge his phone.

he has an e-sim for his phone, but it needs to be re-activated, and this process costs around $200 USD. without it, he relies on this internet spot and cannot communicate with his family, all of whom have been scattered around gaza.

i am collecting donations for his e-sim through my paypal. if you are able and willing to donate, please dm me for my paypal link. if you can't, a reblog is deeply appreciated. i am starting with $50 of my own money; even $5 can make a difference. i will take commissions for e-sim donations. please help my friend communicate with his family.
