Finished World War Blue today, and holy hell is it weird. It's an anime version of the Sega-Nintendo console wars. The main character Gear is supposed to be Sonic the Hedgehog and the main factions are named Segwa and Ninteldo with Mario and Link being primary villain characters. This show is dripping in fanservice (sexual and non sexual). Gear and the other bootleg game characters tend to slip in lines from the related games. The first line in the show is Gear saying "I gotta go fast" and the bootleg Link does a couple Zelda game and show references as well. They bust out Ike's good ole "You'll get no sympathy from me" line. I can't fully find a reason for the show being only 3 episodes but if i had to guess it was a copywrite thing.
