A literal textbook on Monet theory

Took me a month to write, and I think some of the image links are broken, but I stayed up late just trying to get this all in tip-top shape, so that and dividing it to fit with WorstGen’s post limits will all have to wait till tomorrow

With the potential revival of Monet for the 10 year anniversary of her supposed death, I decided it was appropriate to get in one last hurrah as a Monet theorist, assuming I don’t get another opportunity later

I wasn’t originally going to post this one, but there were a shocking number of evidence points to go over, so I figured it’d be a waste not to talk about it, especially if I turn out to be right

Always fun to see contentious, bad-faith arguments garnering more attention than in-depth, well-researched analyses

Not that I don’t understand: a one paragraph, inflammatory statement is a hell of a lot easier to engage with than an essay that asks its audience for a critical response, both because it’s just objectively a faster read and because it elicits an emotional reaction, but it’s a bit disheartening

Honestly though, I don’t think I’d care so much if these things were in the appropriate sections of their respective forums, but people keep posting hit pieces in the Theory Section

“Why do people like Monet?” “Stop saying Zoro’s gonna kill Kaido!” 

Unless you’re going to analyze those trends, those are general discussion topics, not theories. I’m not at all saying that those discussions aren’t worth having, just that this isn’t the appropriate place to discuss them

Finally! It took me two and a half months, but I finally finished my analysis of the Lunarians, their past, and the implications that all of this has for the story as a whole. There was a hell of a lot to go over, but I think I managed to take this...

..and make it into a pretty cohesive narrative

With how close One Piece seems to be getting to its final arc, I’m not sure how many more mysteries there will be that don’t get answered pretty soon after, so this may very well be my last big theory. If that’s the case, I think I’d be fine with that, cus this helped me solidify most of the holes in my understanding of the series
