I did get to meet Del LaGrace Volcano last night, and shake his hand, and tell him what a massive inspiration he's been to me and that I wrote my dissertation about him. I was trying really hard not to come off as a crazy, idolizing fan, but I'm not sure how well it worked. Anyway, the night was amazing, Del showed us a pansexual porno he made with his friends in the 90s and some beautiful images he's made recently looking at the trans* body in various ways. Also, we sang happy birthday for him. There was also a very sexy cabaret act, stand-up comedy, music and lots of vintage porn (which was hilarious). So despite my almost-crippling social anxieties surfacing again, it was a good night!
