Glowing in the dark may seem counterintuitive for a vigilante, but for a hero who’s near powerless without a light source, it’s downright practical. Matty’s costume is designed to reflect and amplify light with holographic, iridescent fabrics and LEDs. The fabric of both Matty’s Hologram dress and jumpsuit is puncture resistant, but neither offers a large amount of protection--Matty prefers to rely on their ability to create light shields for defense and favor clothes that allow easy movement and catch light. And as for the heels, well--they may not be practical, but Matty insists they provide an integral extra few inches of intimidation.

Accessories:

Like all of the Hero Squad, Matty is equipped with a communication device and a body cam.

A reflective visor protects both Matty’s identity and their eyes, as Matty is resistant to the occasionally blinding effects of their own light, but not immune.

Matty wears a fanny pack on duty, equipped with emergency glow sticks, bandages, and a flashlight clipped to the belt. A set of gloves equipped with laser lights in the fingers provide a quick, convenient light source and, on occasion, various LED bracelets.

Matty reluctantly wears knives in a thigh holster, as well as wearing a set of brass knuckles, though she’s hard-pressed to use either if she can avoid it, preferring to use light constructs, as she finds it easier to apprehend people without harm that way.

Matty’s primary method of transportation as Hologram is light surfing, but she also uses a skateboard and, less often, roller skates--sometimes combining them with the light surfing, if she’s feeling particularly daring or rushed.

Just because you have a secret identity doesn’t mean you can’t still look fashionable.  Skin-tight leather is the name of the game for Fallen Angel, the collar of her jumpsuit high enough to hide the tell-tale angel wing tattoo on the back of her neck.  Fingerless gloves, shorts, and short sleeves give her the best chance to make skin-to-skin contact with those she’s using her abilities on.  And of course, there’s the aesthetic for aesthetic’s sake, black wings decorating not only her jumpsuit but her shoes.

Kelli Byrd’s Firehawk Uniform

A high-tech face mask and visor that covers her entire face. The mask holds a small ventilation system that allows Kelli to still breathe even in smoke-filled environments. It also contains a voice changer that she often uses to help intimidate crooks and conceal her identity. The visor is similar to the other Heroes’ in that it acts as an augmented reality device to display the world around her with information and has different visual modes for night vision, infrared vision, and thermal imaging. It can also pick up on active Psionic Metahuman neural activity. The computer network is hooked up to his tracking devices which maps out a route in real-time to where her targets are heading.

Lightweight kevlar suit allows for limited restricted movement while still protecting against bullets, blades, and most metahuman powers.

Propulsion boots to give Kelli added vertical mobility.

Kelli also uses a few devices along with her powers and skills

A bracer on each arm that holds a retractable knife that can be rotated and even ejected at high speeds if needed.

Small disks that create controlled flashes of fire to be used with Kelli’s pyroportation ability that she has been developing more over the years.

Finn Winchester’s “Phantom” Uniform

Over the last few years while away from Pansaw, Finn’s been upgrading his vigilante outfit to better suit him and his natural abilities in combat.  

A kevlar athletic shirt underneath body armor. The armor grants Finn better protection against blade attacks, bullets, and most Metahuman abilities while also remaining lightweight and flexible for freer movement. The armor portion can easily be donned and doffed in seconds by pressing a button on his wrist gauntlet for quick changing. He also wears a microscopic body cam on his armor for Hope to see the world from his view while she operates from their base. 

Lightweight pants made of kevlar material to grant his lower half the same protection while granting him full mobility with his legs for acrobatic techniques. 

Finn has traded in his combat boots for some new, modern running shoes that are both breathable and extremely comfortable. They’re also far lighter and quieter when he runs or walks, giving him a far more dangerous edge in stealth. 

Since his old mask barely concealed his identity, he opted to upgrade this piece for a high-tech visor with built in communication system to keep in touch with Hope and the other heroes. It acts as an augmented reality device to display the world around him with information and has different visual modes for night vision, infrared vision, and thermal imaging. It can also pick up on active Psionic Metahuman neural activity. The computer network is hooked up to his tracking devices which maps out a route in real time to where his targets are heading. His visor also glows electric blue, shielding his eyes from everyone while also presenting a rather terrifying image to anyone he swoops in on in the dark. Finn can also turn the visor on and off at will by pressing a button behind his ear.

Combat gloves and kevlar armored sleeves to protect his forearms against blades, bullets, and extreme heat. 

In addition to his powers and skills, Finn also uses a few weapons and gadgets to assist him in fights that he carries in his utility belt or on his person:

A small wrist gauntlet that projects a small energy shield for defense against most forms of projectile and physical attacks. 

Finn also has a voice modulator connected to his mask to alter his voice with the press of a button from his wrist gauntlet. It alters his natural voice to disguise it, making it a few decibels lower with a very slight computerized tone. It also allows him to mimic other voices to distract enemies and confuse them.

An extendable black and electric blue bo staff made of a flexible yet sturdy material which makes it nearly indestructible. When retracted, it’s small enough to fit in one of his pockets easily. 

A gun that fires off small energy bolts of solid, hot plasma that are electric blue in color.

Thanks to Hope, Finn also carries a few tracking devices that are the size of a dime and can attach to objects and people even after being thrown. They are almost completely undetectable and send a GPS signal to both Hope’s computer and Finn’s phone. 

Smoke grenades and flash bangs to help give him the element of surprise against his victims. He also carries cuff ties and other items useful for restraining bad guys if necessary.

He recently invested in a collapsible hoverboard that will allow him to chase after targets in the skies and avoid pedestrian and vehicle traffic on the streets. Thanks to advanced technology, he can control the board’s movement with his thoughts so long as he has his visor on to do so when he’s not riding it.
