Agron had never thought he'd follow the Gaul anywhere. But he had. For this, they shared a mind. The need to see more Roman blood rather than retire past the Alps in the hopes of a life, absent battle and blood. Agron did not believe he was fated for such yet now . . . choice seemed to be ripped from his grasp. He would never forget the words, not the feeling as the nails dug into each palm of his hand, a deviation from normal crucifixion. To maximize the pain should he live. Not physically, but psychologically. Ensuring that he could not wield a weapon. And what success they had met. The bruises on his face and body were nothing compared to each hole in his hand. Preventing him from lifting sword. And for the first time, the German felt his spirits deflated. The loss of so many others . . . he may as well have died too. Agron had not wished to see anyone; or speak to anyone. Very few being in desired company. So when he heard approaching footsteps, he looked toward the tent flap, the presence causing him to slightly sit up straighter, and hate even more that he was in this position when in the presence of Crixus. He opened his eyes as far as they could with the swelling of them resulted by the bruises of a beating.
Agron, being the stubborn man attempted to sit up, hardly to any avail and inwardly cursing at his inability to do anything. Not even such a simple act as sitting. He swallowed, eyes falling to the bandage that wrapped around one of his hands. The Gods spit on him with this fate. Rejecting him and condemning him to this world where he held no purpose. His emotions were flooded with frustration and anger, his temper only muted by his physical condition. And all he could do was look at Crixus, uncertain as to what was behind his gaze. He only knew that he and Crixus had come a long way since their initial time spent together . . . and now they both returned to camp, defeated.

I’m not sure what’s stirring in the spirit….but I’m seeing a ton of posts that amount to lost people displaying lost behavior. We are here to encourage and support each other and if you’re new to standing or relationship with the Lord, I get the “oh my gosh so and so happened” posting.
But! If you’re saved and love the Lord and you’ve been standing a while, it’s time to take up arms agansit the real enemy! Your spouse’s behavior is a DIRECT reflection of their spiritual condition. DIRECT! What you’re seeing manifest itself outwardly in behavior is a picture of what’s happening to their SOUL!
I know it’s flabbergasting! I know it’s terribly challenging. I know it’s incredibly hurtful! I KNOW!
But I want you to picture that behavior as the struggle occurring in their soul rather than specifically agansit you. I want you to see their lost and broken soul as the “one” who is actually doing that stuff. And then ask yourself if your focus is best placed on how that affects you OR crying out to the Lord for their healing and wholeness in Him!
How many of us have had sick children or known of sick children who are suffering? How many of us would complain to a nurse or doctor about how poorly that child behaves as they are in agony suffering with a disease or illness? I hope the answer is not a single one of us. Would it be frustrating and overwhelming at times, sure. But we’d do ANYTHING to ease that suffering and participate in their healing, right?!?!?
Why aren’t we doing what we can for our spouses who are God’s children suffering from affliction and brokenness and not knowing Him?
The enemy hates you, hates your spouse, hates your marriage, hates your family! Why? Because he gave up his opportunity to be in God’s family long ago and he wants to steal yours to make God “pay for it”. But he’s a defeated foe who willing gave up his position….he is defeated! Stop letting him have a position in YOUR family amd marriage! Stop speaking death and destruction and chaos. Remind him who YOU are in Christ!
You are an overcomer by the blood of the Lamb and the word of YOUR testimony!
You are the head and not the tail!
No weapon formed agansit you shall prosper!
You are sealed by the holy spirit for the day of redemption!
You are God’s beloved child!
You are a holy nation, a chosen people!
You are redeemed! You are whole! You are made new! You are a new creation in Him!
Let the old pass away and die already…..become who He died to give you the right to be! Stand up! Standers stand up! Come into the truth! Come into alignment with His word! Come out of the busted broken thinking! No more!
War on behalf of your spouse! Take this to the right battlefield! You wrestle not agansit flesh and blood (your spouse) but agansit spiritual wickedness! Come on Standers!
