What is your favourite book? I ust finished The Book Thief and oh my god it nearly killed me. It's so good. So probably that, as well as The Goose Girl, which is my comfort book. It's such a cute story, and even the book itself is my friend's second hand book (she gave me a bunch of her old books for a birthday once, it was so cute) and it's hard back and pretty and makes me feel happy.

What superpower would you choose? I always say telekinesis for this, because damn that would be awesome. But if I can be more specific... My friend Oli once wrote this story involving all his friends, and we all had superpowers. And mine was the coolest thing I've ever heard. I could literally use my imagination to create stuff. Like I could play air guitar, and actual music could come out. I could pretend to wield a sledgehammer and smash a window. The trick was that things would only exist as long as I was touching them, which apparently included my organs (and my blood). So I could never have surgery or anything because I would just die as soon as everything stopped touching me. But it's still worth it.

What's your zombie plan? My only knowledge of zombies is playing The Walking Dead, which gave me nightmares. Sooo... Lots of thick leather, keep away from guns (noise attracts, and bullets are limited), go for the head, be careful with the food, probably travel in a group rather than alone. I'd have to get accustomed to sharp objects pretty damn quickly seeing as they'd be the best weapons. Unless I could get my hands on a blunt object to smash their heads in with... I would die, basically.

Do you have any phobias? A phobia's an irrational fear, isn't it? Because my biggest fear is knives, or just sharp objects, but I still think that's rational. Other than that, sheep freak me out. And cows.

What is your favourite quote? Oh god I can never pick. I have some on my whiteboard, but the shortest one that I love is - "Ah yes, the past can hurt. But the way I see it is, you can either run from it, or learn from it." Rafiki, The Lion King. I quoted that in ballet the other day. They were either impressed or pitying me.

Is there anyone you idolise/admire? I'm having to be quite careful about idolising people recently, because quite a lot of people I looked up to even a week or two ago I don't feel comfortable thinking about any more. Sad times. But there are definitely still people I admire.

If so, who? Emma Blackery and Carrie Hope Fletcher would be two biggies. I'm sure there are others, but I'm tired, and those are always the two that come to mind.

Do you read webcomics? (What's your favourite?) Does Cyanide and Happiness count? If so, that.

What's the funniest joke you know?

How many Freudian scientists does it take to screw in a lightbulb? How many Kate? Two. One to screw in the lightbulb and one to hold the penis-LADDER. ONE TO HOLD THE LADDER.

Yeah, that sounds funnier when spoken. I also love really really crappy jokes. And really bad puns. (Why does Peter Pan always fly? He neverlands.) 

Who is your favourite author? I do like John Green books. And JK Rowling is amazing, of course. Malorie Blackman rocks, and Patrick Ness. I like a lot of different authors basically.

If you could change anything about western society (be it gender roles or the use of cakes to celebrate birthdays) what would it be? Ooh, cool question. I'd like it if I could just make everyone abide by the idea that, if it makes you happy and doesn't stop anyone else being happy, go for it. As in, if someone's shagging everyone, or no one, or people of the same/different gender, or they're fat, or skinny, or male, or female, or whatever, just get on with it. If it doesn't affect you, it doesn't affect you. But at the same time, I don't get why people like strawberries. I'd like to stop them being in nearly everything.
