DiceMaster 4.9 Updates
I’ve just pushed DiceMaster 4.9 to Curse/Twitch and it has a LOT of exciting new features, updates, twist, turns, shenanigans, suspense, drama, mystery, and intrigue so I thought I may as well make another update post.
Note: Not all changes are mentioned here - check out the guide linked below or the changelog.txt file for a more complete list of updates!
Lock/Unlock Frames
First off I should mention that the old grey drag tabs are officially gone. You can now lock/unlock the moveable frames in the config menu or with the command /dicemaster lock | unlock, allowing you to drag them around your screen.
Trait Links
Patch 8.1 has (rudely) protected community functions so you unfortunately can no longer link traits in guild chat (RIP Cross RP), but trait links now display their icon in chat as well!
Progress Bar
Similar to how you can track a custom character-specific resource with the Charges bar, you can now track a group-wide resource with the brand new Progress Bar! Only party leaders/raid assistants can manipulate this frame, but you can completely customise its appearance, name, and description in the config menu.
Apply/Remove Buffs
Traits can now apply or remove buffs from characters! This option can be accessed in the Trait Editor (which now opens when you left-click a trait on the Dice Panel), allowing you to create a custom buff you can cast by right-clicking the trait from the Dice Panel! You can set an icon, name, description, duration, and so much more.
Oh, you can also make AoE buffs by selecting “Area Buff” and entering a range (in yards). AoE buffs will apply to all players within that range.
Roll Tracker
This handy little frame records all rolls (yes, even boring, vanilla /roll rolls) made by party members, as well as the last raid marker they’ve typed in chat (we use this to designate whichever NPC you’re targeting/attacking) in a manageable list. You can even see a complete history of any player’s rolls and their average roll.
Typing Tracker
Similar to Discord or Skype (RIP), you now have to option to track when players with DiceMaster in your party are typing out an emote (in raid, party, say, or emote)! By default, this frame anchors just above the default chat frame, but can be moved in the config menu.
Other Changes
There’s a whole slew of new features, changes, and updates too lengthy to describe in full detail here so I’ve gone ahead and made a Using DiceMaster guide to explain everything. Now a lot of this information is specific to the League of Lordaeron (but we’re also accepting applications hint hint), but it is updated with future releases so be sure to check it out!
