Could you imagine if yugioh played off Jou and the Yami crew as like, potential futures for him? a martyr like Atem, a vengeance hungry seeker like Y Bakura, or a selfish sadist like Y Marik.

Jounouchi puts himself into danger quite often where he can die for the sake of others, he gets pissed the hell off if you touch his friends and hes got the brawling to back it up, and hes got the history of lashing out and violence thanks to his abuse father. Jounouchi should have had a lot more themes with how he represents potential through the red eyes black dragon connection and have him have to face BAD potentials. You could not tell me if things were just slightly different in Jou's life, he could not end up as any of them

Like could you IMAGINE if through shadow game bullshit yami marik learned about his dad and was like "ah i should have known you were a kindred spirit, perhaps since youve fought so well i'll finish the job for you" and have jou's fucking reaction to that especially if he goes apeshit in a way that has has some sort of symbolism to yami bakura? I'd go insane

Anyways Yami Bakura or TKB should have had a "we are the same kind of person" speech with jounouchi about how they're both scrappers who'll go to intense lengths for their allies or something and while Jou would obviously end up going "im nothing like you because i fight fair and blah blah blah" even though jou totally fights dirty sometimes I still need it for intensely homosexual reasons

Please help me. For the second one I've had either jackalshipping or dollshipping (is that taken?) as an idea (plus wormshipping. not sure why. just like worms) but I am fresh out of good ideas for the first.

I like frightshipping/wrapshipping because I think in between TKB's serious possessiveness, violent tendencies, and the fact that telling him he can't have something only makes him want it more vs. Joey being unable to just say no to a fight/challenge and his stubborness and wish for self-determination at any cost no matter how impractical it simply would be the most stereotypically homoerotic wrestling fist-fighting type of relationship possible. Would make a great boxing match. Why are you staring at another heavily muscled yet beautiful young man hm? You wanna kissy? You wanna kissy don't you. Unfortunately they do not possess the maturity for kissies so threats of violence and adrenaline pumping will have to suffice. Also Joey being freaked out by ghosts obviously adds a bit of humor in there but I think it would be made up for the fact that he is giving Bakura a headache by being unable to die or run away no matter how freaked out he is (read: Bakura is incredibly charmed by this and finds it wildly attractive. like a bird of paradise watching their mate do a weird little dance and build a nest out of discarded zipties. Confusing and somewhat pathetic yet still very handsome for some reason).

His head hit the head of the mass with a loud thudding sound, and both men fell to the ground, Jounouchi atop a handsome young man with shaved sides and light brown skin.

"Hey now, don't go falling for him!" Someone down the walkway shouted at him. "He's already taken!"
