All that sparkles must eventually come to an end. Surely, cherry blossoms are made more beautiful by how ephemeral they are, and stars which light up the dark sky will eventually burn out. [cough] Even though I wanted to give him an end he deserves, a lot has happened and my spirit cannot keep up with my own plans. I would like to drop Phoenix Wright A.K.A. Ace Attorney A.K.A. Ex-Ace Attorney and request his room to be turned in Moonpie Motel's finest janitorial closet and/or lounge. Thank you.

This is truly a tragic day that we live to see…. After more than 9 months, the very first muse to enter Stella City, or at least I assume the very first muse, the one who has held the first room in Moonpie Motel from the beginning, the one who watched that very room be destroyed by a triangle driving a car, the one who suffered amnesia, never got around to his ship, and endured so much… is being dropped.

[2] Turnabout Adoption

“Persons may not change clothes in a gas station without permission of the owner.”

What was a gas station? Maybe it had to do with the...vehicles she was told about. They needed something to fuel them and from what she recalled, “gas” was one way to do so, but it was mostly used in the past. Changing clothes in a gas station, though? She wondered why anyone would do that, anyway.

“Musical instruments may not be sold on Sunday.”

Why Sunday? Did anything special happen on that specific day of the week that would make the sale of instruments particularly distasteful?

“Birds have the right of way on all highways.”

Well, birds fly and there is no way to control them; they’re free from us humans. So it made sense that they have the right of way on all highways...right?

“Ugh.”

Lucina couldn’t help but voice her frustration. Did she really think law school would be all fun and games and then she’d have her attorney’s badge? Of course not. Among other things, it was necessary for her to get to know the laws of the country she would work in... or, well, city. But why were some of these laws so darn...weird? They didn’t seem logical at all.

A loud noise right next to her served to get her mind out of her study session. WIth a small yelp, she quickly turned her head to see Phoenix, having put a large pile of papers next to her.

“What...is this, Phoenix?”

in retrospect, maybe clocking someone upside the head with a fire extinguisher was a terribly impulsive and reckless thing to do. someone could’ve been seriously hurt, or worse! good heavens, if yv had ended up with a dead body on the floor rather than an unconscious one... 

he just hadn’t expected to be approached in broad daylight, and even less so somewhere secluded like his club. if it had been one of his employees, they would’ve known by now to announce their arrival loud enough to reach the back halls of the place. but there was nothing this time. no announcement, and definitely no warning or notice prior to keep yv informed. 

the gun god had been chilling in his office, soft music playing as he flipped through some boring-ass, yet necessary papers. he’d only looked up when he heard frantic and, quite frankly, angry opening and closing of doors up and down the hall. it definitely wasn’t one of his own people; they would’ve known where to find him immediately.

still sobered by his mortality and lack of firearms protection, yv grabbed the nearest blunt object he could find: a fire extinguisher. if this was batter coming to fuck with him again and on his own turf, he wasn’t going to get far. the triangle opted to wait on the side of his office door, hearing the opening and closing of others coming nearer. knowing that his was next, he squeezed his eye shut and hoisted the extinguisher over his head, only to bring it down a moment later when his door flew wide open.

he was expecting to see batter, so anyone could see why he somewhat paled after having opened his eye and being met with the unconscious body of his best friend laying on the floor.

It’s 8. In the morning... Mina’s run out of caffeine. She likes her coffee without sugar. She can drink it with sugar, but she prefers not to. That’s not important. What’s important is that her filters have run dry, she’s got no more instant mix, and she does like tea, but she’s been drinking that all night so she’s in the mood for coffee.

The nearest cafe is further from the motel than she feels like walking. Moreover, Mina is almost certain that particular cafe opened late on Sundays, which today is. Pinning up her hair lazily, she balances a spoon on the edge of her tea cup. Empty. But the motel room next to hers isn’t. The one thing Mina had seen of her next door companion was that he’d had on a suit. A businessman, maybe? 

Thought process: businessman = probably works long nights = probably has coffee. Spiky hair = bohemian = probably willing to share coffee. Which is why she stands in front of her neighbor’s door now, an empty cup in one of her hands.

“Heey, neighbor...” Mina knocks on the door, her knuckles sliiiding across the wood halfheartedly. She knocks again, a little louder. “Neighbor. Are you awake? Neeeighbor.”

Why is this guy studying his body like that? What’s going on? Eugene self-consciously covers his chest with his other arm.

“Could you... I dunno, I mean, avert your eyes or something? I’m kinda exposed...” His cheeks are stained a deep red matching the shirt that is currently laying in a pile inside the locked room. “And do you know any way to get me back in there? Cuz, uh—” he gestures to his towel, “I’m kinda???”
