No ..

A simple word  ..maybe to you 

but it carries all of my guilt, shame, and load 

whenever I try to spell it out 

my tongue twists in my mouth without a sound

to me is deciding what I want 

it's me being firm 

it's me being bold 

and I lack all of the qualities I've  been told

instead,  they say she is nice,  quiet and bit cold

I should have said it  multiple times 

I should have the courage to draw  a line 

instead, I failed and here I'm 

wondering how different would it be if I wasn’t so benign  

No ..

I fear the impact of it on you 

and I will run around in circles avoiding the truth 

and I will nod my head with a big smile 

and say yes .. and run every mile 

and  end up hurting everyone around 

which is the opposite of what I wanted to do 

at the first round
