There was a time she loved him holy
The ground he walked upon, a shrine
She worshipped him for every line
Upon his touch, she would dissolve
Any wrong doing she’d absolve
There was a time she loved him blindly
With constellations in her eyes
There was a time that she admired
Her cells once dormant, now each fired
Synapses sparkling in the dark
There was a time he did no wrong
Each word, each touch, a sacred song
There was a time that she believed,
Within the sweetest love she lived
There was a time when words came crashing
Promises uttered now lay shattered
For action’s louder than words,
A lie upon his lips she kissed
His halo vanished into mist
A lonesome cursor blinked and blinked
Till all the scattered dots had linked
