Here's a little life hack for writers
(Dunno if this will work for everyone tho)
If you're a writer who likes spoiling their readers with content but don't manage to put it up in time like you promised, here's a trick I learned to help boost motivation:
Reverse psychology.
Instead of saying stuff like, "New chapter will be up tomorrow, guys!/I'll be publishing the next part soon!"
Say, "Probably won't have a chapter up any time soon, guys/Don't think I can publish the next part tomorrow, y'all"
Cause if you don't like disappointing your readers, you don't need to have them expect or wait.
With the knowledge of knowing your readers have no clue of when you're gonna post/publish a new part, it makes you want to surprise them with a chapter like "HAH, YOU WERE FOOLED! HERE'S A CHAPTER!" and gets you writing.
Because as a writer,
I love being praised for doing something good for my readers.
I crave for attention coming from my readers.
But most importantly,
I enjoy being the source of happiness for my readers.
Supportive Readers = Productive Author
Note this:
Readers shouldn't feel obligated to always show their support for their favorite story/author. That is their own decision and they shouldn't be forced or guilt tripped into doing so.
It is only a common fact that Authors need support so they can be motivated into finishing their stories.
It will not only help them improve, but it also makes them soooooo happy.

Hope this helps any writers who are currently struggling to write/finish their draft.
I know it definitely works for me cause I like proving people (and myself) wrong haha.
