scrunkly (my “baby”, character that gives me cuteness aggression, character that is So Shaped): felix/farah, but also elidor even though he's huge!
scrimblo bimblo (underrated/underappreciated fave): the car 😔 can't we all be nicer to her?
glup shitto (obscure fave, character that can appear in the background for 0.2 seconds and I won’t shut up about it for a week): eric and anytime eric brings the kiddos around. love to see them!
poor little meow meow (“problematic”/unpopular/controversial/otherwise pathetic fave): douglas. i will do everything in my power to fix him.

I've just been catching up on your content that I've missed in the last few weeks and I just want to say, like, holy shit. I love how you convey the nuance between Ethan's worldliness and pragmatism with Gen's occasional insecurity and her tendency to let emotion rule over logic. You're so talented with your edits and your writing, but I don't know if people realize just how fucking SMART this series really is - we are truly following a couple through real-life ups and downs, the trials and tribulations of life and love and it's so beautifully done.

okay, I know everyone is going to assume my fave oc is Regina, and well, everyone would be right except I already answered #5 for her here.
so I'm going to cheat and do #5 & #6 for my current fave, Nora McConnell (romancing Nick Wiseman), as well as #6 for Regina. I had a lot of fun with #3 for my M-mancers. Answers under the cut!
Nora McConnell (Mind Blind - Nick Wiseman)
5. Speech! Speech! Speech! Speech! Will they give one, and what about?
This is kind of funny to think about because Nora is not really a warm, fuzzy feeling kind of person nor a charismatic speaker. She’s fairly blunt and to the point and very matter-of-fact about things. So most likely, she would not want to give a speech but if she were forced to, she’d try to absorb/channel the emotions of people around her (hopefully positive) and use that to add some emotion to whatever she’s saying.
An example that comes to mind would be something like...
“This mission was dangerous and our agents executed it to the best of their abilities. It was marginally successful, so thank you to all.” - is how she’d probably deliver a speech normally vs. a more charismatic speaker might say something like:
“Our agents continue to put their lives on the line to protect innocents against dangerous Ments, and this latest mission is no different. This mission would not have been successful without the hard work and resilience of our teams, and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.”
6. Who will they take advice from, no matter what it is? Who won’t they take advice from, no matter what it is?
It’s weird, but she’s developed a close friendship with Button and would take their advice. It helps that she knows they cannot lie and despite the fact that they’re younger than she is, she respects and admires how they’ve overcome their past to get to where they are now.
Nora’s relatives aren’t really in the picture, but she sure as hell is going to ignore any advice they might try to give her considering they abandoned her.
Regina Bishop (TWC - Adam du Mortain)
6. Who will they take advice from, no matter what it is? Who won’t they take advice from, no matter what it is?
She may not always agree, but she’ll listen to Verda and take his advice into consideration. She trusts him and knows he’s smart, cautious, and observant. Over time as they get closer, she takes Farah’s advice to heart (BFF and of course Farah provides amazing emotionally intelligent insights).
Like most people’s detectives, she wouldn’t listen to the Mayor or Bobby. But she also wouldn’t listen to her grandparents’ advice, if they tried to offer it. They have a bit of an estranged relationship, ever since Rook died and Regina doesn’t feel like they’ve made an effort to be in her life and shouldn’t get to have a say in it.
Ria Knight (TWC - Mason)

Ria looks at you, jaw clenched before she looks away to grab a pack of cigarettes from her pocket.
“Love is fucking overrated,” she states matter-of-factly, lighting a cigarette and taking a long drag. “The only person I’ve really done anything with the past few months is Mason, I guess.”
Smoke fills the space between you, the haze making you want to pull away but her tormented gaze draws you back in.
“Mason is steady. Loyal, which is something I’ve never really had before. And he sees me, believes in my abilities. That has to count for something, I suppose,” she finally says quietly, before blowing enough smoke to hide her eyes from view. “But it’s not love.”
Brooklyn Kingston (TWC - Mason)

Brooklyn looks at you curiously. “I suppose the only person I’ve been ‘interested’ in lately would be Mason,” she begins slowly. “I’ve never been in love but I’m interested in something meaningful.”
She hesitates and glances around the room, even though no one else is around. “I thought Mason would eventually get tired or bored of me since I’m not interested in sleeping with him. But he’s been so respectful and supportive of me as a detective, a team member, and as a person, that I wonder if there is potential there.”
“I’ve always struggled with feeling good enough - smart enough, capable enough. But with Mason, I am enough,” her eyes widen with this realization and she excuses herself, but not before a faint blush begins to color her cheeks.

I just wanted to say that Gen is one of my favourite MCs of all time. I love the way you've written her, both strong and vulnerable, sweet without giving up her convictions or beliefs and always standing her ground. I love the contrast between her and Ethan, the way she keeps him on his toes and brings him to his knees. She's the best and so are you.

Gen. She loves snuggling with Ethan, especially in the morning. He'll indulge her most morning unless they're running late
🍀 - Who is better at comforting?
Gen, because Ethan doesn't always know what to say or do. He's sometimes a little envious of how good she is at comforting others and how she always just knows what they need. He's not good at that, but she's teaching him. But, he is good, 9 times out of 10, at comforting Gen when she needs it.
