Missed You, Idiot
⊹ ࣪ ˖ ─Sae itoshi
The apartment room was quiet..the only sound was the distant hum of city traffic and the soft shuffle of your slippers against the floor as you opened the door.
And there he was
your boyfriend.. Sae Itoshi
Hair slightly messy from travel, hoodie pulled over his head, suitcase abandoned by the wall. He didn’t say anything at first..He just looked at you.
You blinked, half-disbelieving. “You’re actually here?”
“I told you I’d come,” he said softly, voice lower than usual.
You dropped your bag and crossed the room, his arms already open before you reached him. You buried your face into his chest, breathing him in—the faint scent of clean laundry, grass, and something warm you hadn’t realized you missed this much.
He didn’t speak . Just held you like he’d been starved of you.
“How long do I have you this time?” you asked, muffled into his sweatshirt.
“Three days,” he said. Then, almost too quietly, “It’s not enough.”
You pulled back slightly to look at him. His eyes—those sharp teal ones the world saw as cold..were soft..Sad. You reached up and cupped his face.
“I missed you too, Sae.”
His lips brushed against yours—gentle, careful, like he was trying to memorize the feel of you again. When he pulled away, he leaned his forehead to yours.
“I thought about you every night,” he muttered. “Even when I was supposed to be thinking about training. You ruined my focus.”
You smiled. “Good.”
He gave you a flat look. “Tch. Annoying.”
But his hand tightened at your waist, pulling you toward the bed.
You ended up tangled together under the covers, your head on his chest, his fingers stroking lazy circles on your back. You could feel his heartbeat—slower now. Calmer.
“I hate being away from you,” he said into the silence. “I hate airports. I hate hotel beds without you in them. I hate FaceTime. I hate—”
You looked up. “You’re rambling.”
He stared at the ceiling. “Shut up.”
You grinned. “I love you too, Sae.”
He didn’t answer with words. Just kissed your temple, then your cheek, then your lips again—longer this time. His mouth soft, his hand cupping the back of your neck.
It was slow. Familiar. Safe.
He pulled the blanket higher over you both and buried his face in your neck.
“Don’t let me go until I have to leave.”
You wrapped your arms around him. “I won’t.”
And you didn’t.
