Daily Writing Sessions. Brought to you by London Writers' Salon.
Have been doing a few of these recently and found them very useful for getting me to actually do some writing, rather than just planning to do some writing. They’re free online Zoom sessions (and you don’t have to turn you camera on) where everyone gets together with the intention of just writing for fifty minutes. There are five minute bits at the start at the end for saying what you’re planning to do and what you’ve done, if you want to share that, but generally it’s about just having a community of other people writing alongside you, which I find quite motivating.
Anyway, they’re free (there are paid-for memberships for things like masterclasses etc, but that’s strictly optional) and there are four sessions every weekday: 8am UK time, 8am US east coast time, 8am US West coast time, and 8am New Zealand time. (That’s 8am, 1pm, 4pm and 9pm in the UK)
I find them useful, some of you might too, so give them a try if you think it might help.
