Victim: Help! I'm hurt!

Paramedic: Don't worry, I'm here to help you. What happened to you?

Victim: Well, I've been stabbed.

Paramedic: On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate your pain?

Victim: A solid 8 for sure...

Paramedic, who also happens to be a writer, scribbling in a notebook: Interesting. Could you describe the pain? Spare no details. Is it more like, sharp? Or more like a burning pain? What did you feel exactly when you got stabbed? Could you get up right now if I asked you? Run? Do you feel the wound? What are you thinking about, right now? Does it hurt the same at all times or is it more like sudden spikes?
