Article and Image by Tyane Milam, Collective Voice Magazine “New beginnings are fun, in my opinion. I could also be saying that because I adapt well to change. State of Liberation has come to an end, but an exciting new journey has launched with the Collective Voice Magazine. I’ve learned so much about myself and my writing with this amazing group over the last six months.” ~ Tyane Milam,…

I Am On Overload
Article & Image by Ann Stolinsky at Collective Voice Magazine “I am on overload. I am an American. I am a patriot. I have lived my life being more patriotic than most. I’m afraid to go back. If I wake up, I might never find her again. If I wake up, this whole thing will just become a dream and fade away as soon as I open my eyes. I can’t do that. I can’t lose this woman who helped me find myself. When I met her, I knew nothing about myself. She opened my eyes. She made me remember who I was and what happiness feels like. I refuse to lose that.
She’s tired of not being able to feel my touch. I’m dying to feel the warmth of her skin, and the soft touch of her lips on mine. I don’t want to wake up, but...if I don’t we’ll just be here unable to feel our love for each other. I don’t want to wake up for me...but I’ll do anything for her.
It was a love affair. Love being the key word. Because I love you more than anyone else in the world. I compare everyone to you, which is my downfall. Nobody will be to your level, love.
I wish I would run into you somewhere. Just so I could look into your eyes and see if your heart is as broken as mine.
